My gw5000u will even get the signal while wearing and moving the watch, something the citizen can't do though. If possible I would go to another location and give it a shot, if still not receiving it in an open location I would say faulty watch. If it does sync, sounds like something in area of home that just really interferes with signal.

Bought this watch a year and a half ago. Since about a month the second hand randomly stops at the 40 sec. mark, although the hour and minute hands still work. When the second hand stops, I can't even sync time with GPS. I can fix it by realigning the hands. The second hand will then work for a few hours and will then randomly stop again.
Pity it's also used in STW and CDT functions, it's hard to activate. My GW-B5600 adjust button is much easier to use; but I still enjoy both. Dec 11, 2015 · I have a question about my G-Shock watch which has stopped working, and I wondered if anyone might have experienced the same issue, or have any advice on what I should do? I've had the watch for around 12 months now, and up until around 3 months ago, it was working perfectly.
I bought it 5 years ago and started to display CHG last year from time to time. I decided last month to change the cell, but the misfunction remains. The screen is erased with CHG blinking. But each time, surprisingly, after about one hour, even if the watch remains in the darkness, the wath turns on again, with full level of battery.
Well the overnight - putting the watch outside-facing east did not work BUT - moved about 10’ to the left and tried a manual sync this AM and got L3 reception and a successful sync.. so I must have really picky reception Dont have to do it often .. will now try to find an indoor location with adequate reception
Apr 26, 2016 · Potentially not for everyone, and also not for every model of G-shocks. The MTG-900/910/920/etc, as well as GW300/330 and GW500/530 were what's known as the first generation of solar atomic G-shocks. They all used very similar modules. The module could only receive only 2 bands of atomic time signals: Japan and US.
Hold down (A) for at least two seconds until the name of the currently selected Home City is displayed. 3. Press (D) eight times. This causes [12H] or [24H] to flash on the display. 4. Press (E) to select [12H] (12-hour timekeeping) or [24H] (24-hour timekeeping). 5. Press (A) to exit the setting screen. Top of page.
